Frequently asked questions
How does sorting work?
Columns of numbers sort numerically, so 9 comes before 10. Text sorts naturally, so item 2 comes before item 10, ignoring case. Empty cells always go to the bottom. Click the same heading again to reverse the order.
How many rows can it show?
It handles files with many thousands of rows, but shows the first 1,000 matching rows to keep the page fast. Sorting, filtering and the export always use every row.
Is my CSV file uploaded anywhere?
No. The CSV is read and displayed entirely in your browser, so it never leaves your device.
What if my rows have different numbers of columns?
Short rows are padded with empty cells so the table lines up, and a note lists the lines that do not match the first row.
