What is lorem ipsum?
Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin derived from Cicero's De finibus bonorum et malorum, written in 45 BC. Designers have used it as filler text since at least the 1500s because it looks like real text without distracting readers with meaning.
Is the generated text random?
Each press of Generate picks a new random seed and builds sentences from a list of Latin-like words, so you get different text every time. Changing the count reuses the current seed.
Why use placeholder text instead of real copy?
It lets you judge a layout, font and spacing before the final text is ready, without reviewers getting caught up in the wording. Replace it with real content before publishing.
