Frequently asked questions

Does it keep time accurately if I switch tabs?

Yes. The stopwatch records the moment you pressed Start and works out the elapsed time from the browser's high-resolution clock, so it doesn't drift or lose time when the tab is in the background and the display updates less often.

What's the difference between lap time and split time?

Lap time is how long that single lap took. Split time is the total elapsed time when the lap was recorded. In the example, lap 2 took 1:04.57 and ended with the clock on 2:10.00.

Which keyboard shortcuts are there?

Space starts and pauses, L records a lap and R resets. They're ignored while you're typing in a text field, and Space on a focused button just presses that button.
