Frequently asked questions
Why is this different from my computer's IP address?
Your computer usually has a private address such as 192.168.1.20 on your home network. Your router shares one public address between all your devices, and that public address is what websites see.
Does PithLab store my IP address?
No. The server reads it from your request to show it back to you and doesn't keep it.
Why does it show a different country?
Location comes from the network your address belongs to, not GPS. Mobile networks, VPNs and corporate networks often route traffic through another city or country.
